Hey, Mom! Talking to My Mother #989 - Woman, Vase, Chinese

Hi Mom,

So I feel behind again, and I need quick posts to catch up.

The Internet always provides.

I took off most of today, Wednesday, from work and attended a reboot event at the nearby Ilani casino, my first time setting foot in it or any casino, followed by a cool Code and Learn at night.

I am still working on my Tillamook trip report, plus now I have a report on dog outings from Monday and Tuesday to post, while still farther backlogged are some book reviews  -- Artemis and the Paul Conrell Shadow  Police series -- plus a review of some recent Batman comics, and I started a re-read of Ready Player One and wanted to make commentary as I read and note many of the pop culture references in anticipation of the movie coming out next week.

But on the day I am writing this note -- Friday -- I am doing CTU final grades. Such is life.

This caught my eye. I like the commentary it makes on sexism with the chinese word for vase. Very smart.

The Chinese word "花瓶" means "vase", but when you use this word 

to describe a woman it means 

"She’s nothing but a pretty face.". 

And woman's body shape does look like a vase. 

So I use different body status to remind women can choose any way 

you want to look like even you got nothing.
