A Sense of Doubt blog post #2895 - Finally, I Saw the Harlem Globetrotters!

I was (and am) a huge fan of the 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoon The Harlem Globetrotters. I used to sing the theme song on the school bus with my good friend Ron Pavlack. I wasn't so good at the whistling in the song, but he was.

I do not remember seeing the Harlem Globetrotters as a kid, but I will ask my Dad. I may have. I have a glimmer of a memory.

Anyway, I either saw them for the first time today (the date and time stamp on this post is before the game) or for the second time, having forgotten the first time at my advanced dotage and mental acuity degradation.

I do look happy in these photos, right? They were taken at the Moda Center by my friend Linda Garcia who arranged the tickets and attendance.

I would do a longer love song to the great Globetrotters of the 1970s, but I am currently eight days behind and writing these words on January 29th.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
