A Sense of Doubt blog post #3533 - Jonny Quest from Dynamite - a Comic I am Loving - Comic Book Sunday 2410.20
COUNTDOWN!!!
But one that jumped from 17th place out of 25 comics when it debuted in August to 5th out of 17 comics with the recent issue is Jonny Quest from Dynamite in September. I don't have October's issue yet.
For those who don't know me or don't know this about me, I get most of my comics from Fanfare in Kalamazoo, MI once a month. When they arrive, I organize them into the monthly reading order. Occasionally, I publish these lists in a blog post:

Though the original 17/25 placement of issue one -- even though I typically put first issues high in the stack -- does not reflect my actual over-the-moon adoration of Jonny Quest, the leap from 17th to 5th does show how much I loved that first issue.
The launch of the first Jonny Quest comic since the late-1980s is very welcome. Dynamite also has another Hanna Barbera property -- Space Ghost -- that's up to its fifth issue already.
Of course, it's a nostalgia fest for those of us who grew up with Jonny Quest.
But what to do with new readers?
Bring Quest and family to the present but with a sense of history, where they came from.
I am not going to fully review and risk spoilers. Dig into the COMIC BOOK ROUNDUP link for reviews. Critics and readers alike are rating the comic in the high Eights out of Ten.
But ogle these covers and variant covers.
Thanks for tuning in.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
PREVIEW
And just to remember the '80s comic!
