I have new shoes.
I liked the former shows so much that I bought a second pair.
Last year not too long after starting these Pride shoes in July of 2024, Essel chewed them!! (Evidence in pictures below.)
I then kept wearing them for many months until I just switched them out due to a flare up of plantar fasciitis, which I am still experiencing though not as bad as it was.
I reprinted the post from last July (sadly, I missed Pride month) farther below, which also contains pictures of the Peter Max shoes I had as a kid.
Essel may be past her excessive chewing stage, but I still don't trust her, and I put my shoes up out of reach often, especially when I am going be away from home.
I have pride and love for all of my friends who identify in the LBGTQ. I think of myself as an ally, though the way I see it, we are all on the queer spectrum with possibly no one at 0% and 100%, and so we're ALL queer in some respect though not everyone will want to take on the label. When I stopped being afraid of being mistaken for gay or queer, I became a lot more comfortable with the possibility of being queer and could care less if people think that I am. In fact, I see it as a compliment to be thought of as gay or queer (or both).
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH (every month is PRIDE month)!!

A Sense of Doubt blog post #3441 - My New Indoor Shoes: PRIDE: Ghost 15s
I bought a new pair of indoor shoes.
My lower back was starting to hurt. When that happens, it's past time for new shoes. It had been over a year since I bought the last pair of indoor shoes, though I had switched the inserts once.
Any shoes will lose their support after 400 miles of wear or so.
I spotted these Brooks Ghosts last year but couldn't afford them. But then a year later, Prime Day, a gift certificate.
Sold!
I only wear Brooks, and most often the Ghosts as they are light way and neutral balance. Size 11.5.
Also, new inserts. Green Feet - size E.
I was encouraged by a doctor to wear shoes all the time years ago. Though my feet are better these days and so I do go bare foot some of the time, but if I am going to be on my feet for extended periods, I need to be in shoes.
I liked these shoes because they reminded me of the Peter Max shoes from the 1970s (1968 originally, apparently) as I had a pair around the age of ten or eleven -- pictures below.
Every month is Pride month, and everyone should celebrate Pride.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I post Hey Mom blog entries on special occasions. I post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day, and now I have a second count for Days since my Dad died on August 28, 2024. I am now in the same time zone as Google! So, when I post at 10:10 a.m. PDT to coincide with the time of Mom's death, I am now actually posting late, so it's really 1:10 p.m. EDT. But I will continue to use the time stamp of 10:10 a.m. to remember the time of her death and sometimes 13:40 EDT for the time of Dad's death. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
