A Sense of Doubt blog post #2729 - Extreme Ways Moby via Pomplamoose and ONJ RIP - Music Monday for 2208.08

A Sense of Doubt blog post #2729 - Extreme Ways Moby via Pomplamoose and ONJ RIP - Music Monday for 2208.08

Any song published on my Mother's Birthday gets my attention and a share, even if it is almost a year later.

Instead of posting a song or songs by Olivia Newton John, I am going another way with this cover of a Moby song by Pomplamoose.

And then some pics of ONJ at the end.

Thanks for tuning in.

LYRICS
Extreme ways are back again
Extreme places I didn't know
I broke everything new again
Everything that I'd owned
I threw it out the windows, came along
Extreme ways I know will part
The colors of my sea
Perfect colored me
Extreme ways that help me
They help me out late at night
Extreme places I had been
That never seen any light
Dirty basements, dirty noise
Dirty places coming through
Extreme worlds alone
Did you ever like it then?

I would stand in line for this
There's always room in life for this

Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Like it always does, always does

Extreme sounds that told me
They held me down late at night
I didn't have much to say
I didn't get above the light
I closed myself and closed my eyes
And closed my world and never open up to anything
That could get me along
I had to close down everything
I had to close down my mind
Too many things could cut me
Too much can make me blind
I've seen so much in so many places
So many heartaches, so many faces
So many dirty things
You couldn't even believe

I would stand in line for this
There's always room in life for this

Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
Like it always does, always does

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
