Christmas 2013 |
My Dad has sign in his apartment, his last living space, pictured below, declaring that "Red is My Color Persona." As in his, not mine.
However, I do wear red most of the days throughout the holiday season from Thanksgiving to early January. I never did this in honor of my father. I did it because of the season. My favorite Christmas short is the topper photo.
ALSO, post #3600!!
That's a milestone.

Weird to look at Dad's apartment without him in it.
I have many red things, now, from Dad, though not all the red things, like his toaster (also pictured below).
So, here, I have collected all the posts from the T-shirts blog featuring red t-shirts plus one since then from this blog and a few pictures of the best ones.
So, here, I have collected all the posts from the T-shirts blog featuring red t-shirts plus one since then from this blog and a few pictures of the best ones.
But I have others, one of which I photographed and included below.
I have pictures of some of my Dad's red things. There are things of his that are red that I have that are not pictured, such as his suitcase, which I just used on my trip, and a pair of shoes, which I have not yet had the heart to wear though I fit in to them.
I wish I had photographed more of his red things.
It's not that I never wear red outside of the holiday season, just not as much.
But now, as I wear red, I feel I am making a tribute to Dad, honoring him, instead of just wearing a color I know he likes.
I miss my Dad with the red color persona.
BTW, he owned many red cars and numbered them. His last was Red 7.
Thanks for tuning in.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I post Hey Mom blog entries on special occasions. I post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day, and now I have a second count for Days since my Dad died on August 28, 2024. I am now in the same time zone as Google! So, when I post at 10:10 a.m. PDT to coincide with the time of Mom's death, I am now actually posting late, so it's really 1:10 p.m. EDT. But I will continue to use the time stamp of 10:10 a.m. to remember the time of her death and sometimes 13:40 EDT for the time of Dad's death. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
