A Sense of Doubt blog post #4277 - Ju. "Numb" and a Playlist - Music Monday for 2611.02
I love discovering new music.
You Tube is especially good at making recommendations based on my listening tastes.
This song, "Numb" by Ju., popped up on my home page earlier this month.
Instant favorite.
Instant favorite.
More for the visual aesthetics than the music. There's some interesting facts to the music, but it's not going to be a heavy rotation piece or band because of the repetitive drums and some of the musical choices that are not as interesting as the visual.
Still, there's good stuff to explore here, and a band worthy of a subscription click.

Then I found some Kabuki art that is just creepy and wonderful, perfect for this Halloween season.
Thanks for tuning in.

Description
Ju is an electronic music artist shaping a distinctive techno sound through hypnotic rhythms, dark atmospheres and emotional violin melodies.
Blending the rolling drive of psytrance with the pulse of techno, Ju builds each track around a memorable violin theme, persistent acid sequences and a commanding female spoken voice. The violin answers the voice, tension builds through evolving rhythms, and each return brings greater intensity to the dancefloor.
Intricate sound details, expressive melodies and immersive rave energy form a musical identity that continues to evolve with every release.
Welcome to the universe of Ju.

“I thought I felt nothing.
Then it hurt.”
Numb explores the quiet distance between looking alright and feeling nothing and the first fragile moment when emotion finds its way back.
A haunting cello melody unfolds into expressive grand piano, carried by a relentless techno pulse. Intimate female spoken vocals give way to soaring melodic phrases, while rolling bass and an unbroken synth ostinato keep the music moving through every shift in emotion.
Dark, hypnotic and deeply emotional. This is Numb.
If this track reaches you, leave a đŸ–¤ in the comments.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I post Hey Mom blog entries on special occasions. I post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day, and now I have a second count for Days since my Dad died on August 28, 2024. I am now in the same time zone as Google! So, when I post at 10:10 a.m. PDT to coincide with the time of Mom's death, I am now actually posting late, so it's really 1:10 p.m. EDT. But I will continue to use the time stamp of 10:10 a.m. to remember the time of her death and sometimes 13:40 EDT for the time of Dad's death. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
