Kristoff St John |
I have been working to catch up on all the episodes of The Young and the Restless saved on my DVR.
I finally made it to the April 29th episode from season 46 (episode #165) the tribute to Kristoff St. John who played Neil Winters.
St. John's death caught me by surprise as I had not heard about it right away. I featured tributes to this amazing man and actor earlier this year.
Shortly after learning of his death, I posted A Sense of Doubt blog post #1503 - Young and the Restless - Kristoff St. John - RIP with some stories and videos.
Later, I posted this entry -- A Sense of Doubt blog post #1526 - Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) dies in the Young and the Restless -- sharing an article from EW.
Fortunately, I found a recording of the tribute on You Tube that CBS has not managed to get taken down (and I hope that they never do) as well as some other videos, one from Donahue in 1993 and the other, an official Y&R video, from the 45th anniversary last year, even though St. John does not appear in the video.
Quick shares today as I am in school prep mode.
Though this is not a HEY MOM post (and neither were the others about St. John's death) , it's worth mentioning that I always shared this TV show with my Mom and so watching it makes me feel very close to her. It's been a soundtrack for most of my life.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
