A Sense of Doubt blog post #3303 - The Marathon Mix and the Collected Mix Posts

Music Monday has been my most consistent feature.

I started Music Monday on April 11, 2016, and with only minor fluctuations, I have published a Music Monday every week for the last, nearly, eight years!

In 2019, I made a top twenty list of more than twenty (because I cannot discriminate), linked below, and then in 2023, I reprinted the list with a new collection.

I am due for another post of mixes as well as maybe one that collects ALL the Music Monday posts to date on one page.

Last summer, I had several days of classes during which I was holding conferences, and so I wanted a long play mix full of great songs. I culled through all my mixes on both of the pages below and chose a couple of songs from each and VOILA, the Marathon Mix.

Then, the other day, I realized that I never posted it to the blog.

So here we are.

It's actually called the marathon mix only because it's LONG. To cover the time it would take me to hobble through a marathon, I would have to have it on repeat for several days. 26 miles? Yeah, maybe a week. :-)

105 songs from my mixes, very good songs, favorite songs, new songs.

No reason for 105. Just happened. I wanted over 100 and that's what I got.

It's a stable mix as Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" was the only "unavailable" song when I re-checked the mix. I replaced it as the last selection with what I hope is stable video.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
