Hey, Mom! Talking to My Mother #661 - Penguicon 2017 - Part One

Hi Mom,

So I am back from Penguicon 2017, and I am more than a little exhausted. It's Monday May First as I type these words, but I am back dating this post to Friday at a time I was in the car driving to Penguicon, to get all three posts in from today (Friday) through Sunday (April 30), which represent the three days I was at Penguicon.

This will be the shortest of the lot because as I try to catch up on the blog, I also have to catch up on work. I did work while at Penguicon (panels with tables and Internet access made this easy to multitask by both working and paying attention to the panel), but I still have a lot to do and final grades due tomorrow for WMU.

So, just as a way to get this one up, while I finish the others (and I may publish the other two before they are complete but may not blast social media until they are complete), here's a few choice elements: some cool pictures and the dancing robots.

NOTE on time: When I post late, I had been posting at 7:10 a.m. because Google is on Pacific Time, and so this is really 10:10 EDT. However, it still shows up on the blog in Pacific time. So, I am going to start posting at 10:10 a.m. Pacific time, intending this to be 10:10 Eastern time. I know this only matters to me, and to you, Mom. But I am not going back and changing all the 7:10 a.m. times. But I will run this note for a while. Mom, you know that I am posting at 10:10 a.m. often because this is the time of your death.
