A Sense of Doubt blog post #3278 - THE WALKING DEAD - The Ones Who Live

Though I read all the comics, I did not finish The Walking Dead TV show, stalling out some time around the introduction of Negan.

I may hop back on with this show for a fresh start.

Looks good!!

This is today's share; thanks for tuning in.

The Ones Who Live | Final Trailer | Premieres February 25th on AMC and AMC+

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live trailer shows a 'broken world'

We also have some fiery new Rick and Michonne key art to gaze upon.

With exactly one month until the premiere of the most highly anticipated Walking Dead spinoff yet, AMC has released another trailer for the return of Rick and Michonne in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which debuts Feb 25. And the network also has some fancy new key art to go with it.

“I lost someone years ago,” says Danai Gurira’s Michonne in the new trailer (which can be seen below). “Now I'm looking for him.”

From there, we get a collage of scenes showing Michonne on the hunt for her long lost love as well as shots of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes in the seemingly forced employ of the Civic Republic Military.

“Why do you even think I'm going to go along with all of this?” Rick asks the CRM leader Major General Beale (played by Terry O’Quinn) — to which Beale replies, “Because everything will change.”

What that change entails has yet to be revealed, but we do see both Rick and Beale culling walkers in the teaser. Whether they can actually work together seems more unlikely. Rick’s exclamation at the end that “This isn't everything! You don’t get to choose for the world, you don't get to choose for me,” would seem to indicate the two lack a shared common vision.

As for Pollyanna McIntosh’s Jadis — who can be seen in an intense car chase — she makes her CRM allegiance clear, proclaiming “We are the last light of the world. You have to know that.” (Methinks Rick does not, in fact, know that.)

Check out the trailer for yourself, and also take a gander at the fiery new key art for the series below. May the dynamic duo’s passion for each other ignite that flame!

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
