A Sense of Doubt blog post #1453 - The Fall 2018 Book Recommendations... and all the books I did not have a chance to recommend

So, here's the list. I talked this up with some friends (also colleagues, both, friends and colleagues) and promised to post it and distribute it.

I play music every day in class, and sometimes I talk about it a little. I recommend at least one book because, you know, READING IS FUNDAMENTAL. Really? I don't need to explain that.

And I read something: a poem, a short-short fiction thing, some non-fiction, some snippet. Sometimes I talk about it. Sometimes I don't.

I also do words of the day, but they are not in this list as students WANT me to post that list, and I prefer to deliver those in class so as to promote attendance.

This list is based on my Fall 2018 WR121 at Concordia, but most of the stuff I also did in English 101 at Lower Columbia College.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
