A Sense of Doubt blog post #1697 - National Coming Out Day - I am your ally

A Sense of Doubt blog post #1697 - National Coming Out Day - I am your ally

I am so in awe of all the amazing people I know who are coming out or renewing their previous experiences of coming out on social media today.

I am blessed with knowing so many loving, miraculous, awe-inspiring humans that make me glad that I share the planet with them and even more ecstatic that many consider me a friend.

I feel I have fought the good fight for LBGT issues for the majority of my life now in class rooms and universities after working through my own stupidity, homophobia, and other pre-programmed bullshit, much of which I did not even know lurked inside me until I rooted it out and burned it at the stake.

Thank you to everyone who honors this day with their voice, their attention, their respect, their admiration, and their love.

I love you all.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
