SPEKTRMODULE - 2003.09

One of my favourite bits of CASTLEVANIA season 3 - when I decided to go full nuts and poor old Adam Deats got dragged down with me and had to make it work.  And made it work better than I ever imagined.
I haven't looked at most of them, but here's a list of CASTLEVANIA interviews for the curious:

Hey look, it's something I said:
I don't really do quotes and forewords any more -- I think this is culled from something I said here? Who knows.  I'm senile -- because I need to preserve my time, but I'm not wrong.

SPEKTRMODULE - 2003.01

  • The Tallest Tower  - new digital-only short piece by Laura Cannell
  • oxland cylinder - new record by the mighty Kemper Norton, very much in his strong New Weird Britain ambient/experimental/field zone.
  • Sur Chöd by Nam-Khar - just one track streaming right now, but it is big cosmic time ritual drone energy.

Some links about writing and writers:

SPEKTRMODULE - 2002.23

  • Línia Pedra Paisatge Solc by Edu Comelles -  "Línia / Pedra / Paisatge / Solc (Line, stone, landscape and groove in Catalan) is a sound composition in two parts, based on the skyline that can be seen from the top of the ruins of the castle of Culla, a small village inland of the Castelló province (Eastern Spain). The first piece (Línia / Pedra) is composed based on the skyline between northeast and southwest. The second piece (Paisatge / Solc) has been composed using the skyline between southwest and northeast."
  • Coalescence of Form by Visionary Hours - "Visionary Hours is a project of Hayden Berry, a musician from Hebden Bridge, UK that combines the sound of strings, guitar, voice, flute and clarinet, to create slowly-evolving modern classical pieces, full of space and gently revealed micro melodies."
  • LGM-1 by HLER - ""When you are listening to the sound of pulsars, you are listening to actual star-size oscillators with the most minimal and longest lasting drones in the whole universe.""
  • All around the World - Recorded in India, Gambia, Australia, France and Japan by Oz Fritz - "an audio document of sacred spaces with their acoustic and consciousness altering properties. It is also the creation of new ambient spaces, new realities, through audio collage, juxtaposition and cut-up techniques"
  • Anthology of contemporary music from Middle East by Various Artists - "experimental and alternative music from the Middle East and includes artists from Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iran, Israel, Iraq, Palestine, Jordan, Afghanistan, Cyprus. A kaleidoscope of sounds by artists rooted in their traditions, but at the same time projected towards the new frontiers of music. "

I post during the week at LTD.

"Be good to yourself.  Might seem hard to do right now, but it's also the most important thing. Just sit for five minutes outside, or at the window, or by a picture, and take that time just for you and some peace. Hold on tight.  See you next week." - Warren Ellis

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
