A Sense of Doubt blog post #3397 - Redacted Trip Report: London - Iceland

I wrote this redacted trip report to share with a few friends and family.

Here's a share of it for you, readers.

A few days after returning (landed a week ago today) because I had the blog vacation scheduled through Sunday the 2nd, so those posts were set. Then Monday is Music Monday, Tuesday I had to get the post up on the big news greeting us upon our return, and then yesterday was a quickie. Both Tuesday's and yesterday's are linked below.

It’s June first (well, now, the 6th). I am returned from London-Reykjavik. I am less tired than yesterday. We returned May 30^th.

And so here I am.

The trip was great!

Stayed at a hotel in White Chapel. You may know what that area is famous for.

 

Day one – Bland curry.

  

 

Day Two – Tower of London, great Chinese food, Rough Trade records, Street Vibes

 

   

 

 

Day Three – Shopping, mostly for perfumes, Convent Garden

 

BLOOM PARFUMERY: We had to wait in line to get in.

 

 

Day Four – British Museum

 

 

Day Five – Borough Market, Selfridge’s, Sherlock Holmes Museum

Day SIX – Heathrow to Keflavik dinner at ROK in Reykjavik

Day Seven – Geysir, Gullfoss, FISCHERSUND, and dinner APOTEK

Fischersund is the perfumery owned and operated by Jonsi of Sigur Rós.

 

Geysir is a geyser

Gullfoss is a big waterfall

 

Funny. I just noticed I have exactly 666 pictures.

 

DAY EIGHT – LEAVING Iceland

 

Took off from Iceland about the same time as landing in Portland because the flight time and time difference are both about seven hours.

- New note - On 1807.06, I ceased daily transmission of my Hey Mom feature after three years of daily conversations. I plan to continue Hey Mom posts at least twice per week but will continue to post the days since ("Days Ago") count on my blog each day. The blog entry numbering in the title has changed to reflect total Sense of Doubt posts since I began the blog on 0705.04, which include Hey Mom posts, Daily Bowie posts, and Sense of Doubt posts. Hey Mom posts will still be numbered sequentially. New Hey Mom posts will use the same format as all the other Hey Mom posts; all other posts will feature this format seen here.
